CB series potash collector developed independently by R&D Center of the institute has been proven to be able to deliver higher recovery rate of potash after wide use in several potash plants. CB potash collector can be manufactured by simple synthesis process with extensive raw material resources. Compared to the conventional flotation reagents, octadecylamine requires no conditioning of acidification or frother, and can be widely applied to different type of potash resources. Excellent experimental index are obtained through flotation tests on various well-known potash resources home and abroad, as well as bench-scale and pilot-plant-scale tests.
The development of CB series collector took over 3 years before being widely applied home and abroad. A large-scale Chinese enterprise adopting CB-803 collector found that CB-803 fetches over many other collectors in terms of the concentrate grade and the recovery rate. A 500ktpa KCl plant ungraded the rate of recovery by adopting CB-805 collector by 3%~5% compared to the use of octadecylamine. The new series of collectors are well received by the customers for the excellent product quality, easy conditioning procedures and less equipment corrosion.
